Is Chiropractic for babies safe?
Pediatric Chiropractors like me safely care for newborns and babies everyday.  I can write many words explaining how safe and gentle our care is but don't take my word for it.  Ask other parents who have had success at our office.  The bottom line is that never manipulate or use forceful techniques.

Why do babies need chiropractic care?
Humans have large brains and skulls in relation to the tiny spine below. It is very common for these small neck bones to be forced out of alignment by the large head above.  If this happens the nerves from the spine carry altered messages to the body.  Babies/kids have can develop health problems from this.

Spinal alignment problems can develop before or during birth.
Even if the pregnancy and delivery go well spinal problems can, and do happen. Obvious problems are head tilts (seen when they are in their car seat) flat spotting of the head and Torticollis.  Other spinal problems are not so obvious.

Symptoms in babies may include colic, nursing on one side, reflux, crying and screaming for no reason, and failure to thrive.

Symptoms of young children that have spinal problems may be ear infections, allergies/asthma, constipation, bed wetting, behavioral or attention problems, gait problems and more.

Symptoms in Teens may have migraines, headaches, scoliosis, and pain.

I always tell parents and patients… Chiropractic is not a cure for anything.
Chiropractic only removes spinal blockages so the body can do it's own healing and "curing".  The body already knows how to cure itself.  We are born with this way.  When there is spinal nerve pressure the body cannot complete these functions. Chiropractic removes the nerve pressure.  So simple and effective.
